Alumni Lunch Rescheduled

A lunch for Mansfield Senior High and Malabar High alumni 50 and older has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 29, in the Senior High commons. Earlier, it had been set for April 1.

The Mansfield Senior High Alumni Luncheon is sponsored by the Mansfield School Employees Association. Doors will open at noon and lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. The cost is a $5 donation to the MSEA Scholarship Fund.

A silent auction is planned and special Tyger items will be available. RSVP to Louise Yochheim at 419-525-6369 by April 25.

Special Events Thursday Evening

Special events are planned Thursday evening (March 9) at Springmill STEM Elementary and the Spanish Immersion School.

Springmill STEM Elementary, 1200 Nestor Dr., will have a Literacy Night from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Physical education teacher Maggie Voedisch has taught the students some dances and there will be literacy games afterward. Students also will receive a free book.

Spanish Immersion will celebrate a Dr. Seuss Literacy Night from 6 to 7 p.m. The program will include teacher-led literacy activities, a Dr. Seuss birthday cake and Hop-on-Popcorn.

No School a Week From Friday

Students will not be in school on Friday, March 24.

An Ohio Department of Education monitoring review has required the district to move up its fifth and final staff professional development day from May 5 to March 24. May 5 will be a regular school day for all students and staff.
