In addition to financial and personnel issues, the Board will consider the following recommendations from Superintendent Lee Kaple to approve the following:

  • The 2017/2018 school calendar.
  • A resolution for Travel Related To Official Duties While Serving OSBA for board member Jane McGinty. This resolution will be  in effect until the end of Jane McGinty’s term which is December 31, 2017.
  • The law firm of Tarkowsky & Piper, Co., L.P.A. for legal services on an as needed basis for calendar year 2017.
  • In-lieu-of transportation reimbursement for the following students for the 2016/2017 school year:
  • Chloe Lewis
    Clayton Lewis
  • An overnight senior cosmetology trip to America’s Beauty Show in Chicago, Illinois March 25, 2017 – March 27, 2017 at no cost to the board.
  • Purchase of a Zing Epilog  Laser Engraver & parts including 1-yr warranty for the amount of $19,100.00. This will be used for the STEM program at Madison Middle School and paid for through Career Counseling Pilot funds.
  • The Staff Evaluation form from the Madison Early Childhood Learning Center.
  • An overnight trip for the Key Club Leadership Conference March 10, 2017 – March 12, 2017 at no cost to the board.

The Board is also slated to go into Executive Session for the purpose of Superintendent and Treasurer evaluations.
