Downtown Mansfield, Inc. has announced a collaborative downtown Mansfield School Supply Drive benefiting the Mansfield City Schools S.A.F.E Program. Participating downtown merchants will collect school supplies from July 15 to August 2.

On August 2, during our First Friday Shop Hop, Richland Academy of the Arts will host a Mansfield City Schools bus for a “Stuff the Bus” event to culminate the drive. Stuff the Bus will accept school supply donations at the Richland Academy of the Arts parking lot from 5-7pm. Select merchants will offer a discount or coupon to those who help us Stuff the Bus.

School supplies can be donated at the following locations: Habitat for Humanity of Richland and Crawford Counties, Idea Works, Little Buckeye Children’s Museum, Main Street Books, Richland Academy of the Arts, Richland Area Chamber of Commerce, Richland Bank, Richland Carrousel Park, and Tara’s Floral Expressions. Participating merchants will be marked with a collection sign for convenience.

The Mansfield City Schools S.A.F.E. Program is in need of various supplies and items. In an effort to alleviate educational barriers for students, the program is asking for: Book bags, basic school supplies such as pens, pencils, markers, crayons, colored pencils, loose leaf paper, index cards, etc., pencil holders and pencil cases, activity books, workbooks, coloring books, 100 piece puzzles, small stuffed animals, diapers, pull ups, other toiletries, and more. If you have questions regarding the specific supplies, please contact us at [email protected].
