Next month starts off and ends with events at downtown Mansfield’s Richland Carrsouel Park.

On Saturday, September 2 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, come on down and join community leaders in enjoying a celebration marking the 26th anniversary of the Carrousel (yes, that’s 26 years!).

Prizes will be given to the first 50 children that day, with a free ride being given every hour. Food will also be plentiful, with the Carrousel Grill offering hot dogs and brats (at $1.50 and $2.50, respectively).

Gift shop items will be available at 26% off – all items excluding rides, parties, and rentals.

Then, on Saturday, September 30 from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Richland Carrousel Park will host a Pop-Up Mural Showcase.

This event will create a community of art works based on the Carrousel, with each animal and horse uniquely depicted on large mural canvases. With a the purpose of highlighting the art and culture of the area, as well as to usher in a new era of the community beyond the silver 25 anniversary of Richland Carrousel Park, artists were called to help create art based on the originality of the wood carvings.

A collection of artworks will be available for purchase or rent in a silent auction.

Admission to the Showcase is $40 per ticket, which includes 1 drink and appetizers. The Phoenix Brewing Company will be on hand, and a live soul performance will be offered by the Jeffrey Boyd Quartet.

Online ticket purchase is available at this location online.
