Noted author David Giffels comes to Main Street Books this Friday evening for a Book Talk on his newest published work, Furnishing Eternity.

As shared in the event announcement, the work is “…a vibrant, heartfelt memoir about confronting mortality, surviving loss, finding resilience in one’s Midwest roots and seeking a father’s wisdom through an unusual woodworking project—constructing his own coffin.”

Hailing from Akron, Giffels is the author of The Hard Way on Purpose: Essays and Dispatches From the Rust Belt, the memoir All the Way Home, winner of the Ohioana Book Award. His writing has appeared in the New York Times Magazine, the Wall Street Journal, and many other publications.

The event starts at 6:00 PM, and more information can be found at this location online. While at Main Street Books, be sure to check out the Monster Paintings Show, currently underway.
