With the season opening of Kingwood Center Gardens arriving next week comes a month of familiar and new workshops. Here is what is on offer during April:

Spring Seed Swap

Thursday, April 4 from 5-6 PM

The Spring Seed Swap is an opportunity for gardeners to break open their seed collections and trade in the ones they won’t use for ones they will! Many gardeners have seeds leftover from years past, whether they be from your own garden or purchased. Let’s give those seeds a chance to grow! Bring seeds in their original packages or in envelopes with the name and year they were collected (the more information, the better). Enjoy light refreshments while swapping with other gardeners. Cost is $5 for members, $10 for non-members.

Spring Flower Fused Glass Pendant

Thursday, April 11 from 6-7 PM

Join Juli Parsons of Lasercraft Enterprises to create a fused glass pendant. All materials and supplies will be provided. Cost is $20 for members, $25 for non-members. Please sign up on our website.

Hand Care for the Gardener

Thursday, April 25 from 5-6:30 PM

Attention Gardeners! Do you like to plat in the dirt? Help get your hands clean and cared for by making natural hand cleaner and cuticle cream using essential oils that soothe the skin. Sue Yarger from Sky Essentials will provide all the materials for you. Cost is $20 for members, $25 for non-members.
