The next film in the Renaissance Theatre’s Stephen King Film Festival will be “Cujo,” on July 19 at 7:00 PM. The film festival is presented thanks to funding from Charles P. Hahn, Cleveland Financial with the guest speaker provided by the Mansfield/Richland County Public Library.

Prior to the screening, a brief lecture about the film will be given at 6:30 PM from the stage of the theatre by Dr. Phil Simpson from Eastern Florida University.

Dr. Simpson is the Provost on Eastern Florida University’s Executive Council, which advises the President on matters pertaining to overall operations of the College. He is also the President of the Popular Culture Association & American Culture Association (PCA/ACA), a national academic organization. A national popular-culture expert, Simpson has authored three books, numerous book chapters, journal articles and encyclopedia entries.

The remaining films in the series include: IT (New version), August 16; Carrie, October 18; The Mist, November 15; The Shining, December 13.

With each film you attend during the summer, you will be automatically entered into a drawing for a free one-night stay, on Halloween Night, for up to four people at the Haunted Buxton Inn in Granville, OH. Drawing will take place on August 16 prior to the screening of IT.

Tickets are $5 or buy a pack of three showings for $13 and can be purchased in advance at the Renaissance Box Office, at the door, via phone at (419) 522-2726 and online at MansfieldTickets.com/film.
