The months of August and September are often full of road projects, as  remaining weeks for paving and similar work reduce in number. This is the list of projects in Ashland, Crawford, and Richland Counties that will affect travel over the next seven days.

ASHLAND COUNTY

Interstate 71

I-71, from the Ashland Co. line to the US 250 ramps, will have daytime single lane closures and nighttime double lane closures as crews begin work on a resurfacing project. Motorists are advised to use caution when driving through the work zone. All work is weather dependent.  The project is expected to be complete October 2017.

State Route 95

SR 95, just east of SR 39 to the Wayne County line, will have intermittent lane closures as part of a chip seal project. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers. The project is expected to be completed October 2017.

US Route 30

US 30, just west of SR 60 to the Wayne County line at CR 15, will have daily lane closures for a resurfacing project. Please use caution when navigating through work zones. The project is expected to be complete by August 2017.

US Route 42

US 42, just north of SR 511, will be reduced to one lane of traffic for a culvert replacement. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers as needed. The project is expected to be complete September 2017.

US Route 42

US 42, just north of County Rd. 995, will be reduced to one lane of traffic for a culvert replacement. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers as needed. The project is expected to be complete September 2017.

State Route 58

SR 58, between SR 302 and CR 500, is closed for eight consecutive culvert replacements. The detour route for northbound motorists is SR 58 to SR 302, east on SR 302 to SR 89, north on SR 89 to SR 58, and reverse for southbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen August 2017.

State Route 60

SR 60, between US 250 and US 224, will be reduced to one lane of traffic for a chip seal resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers as needed. The project is expected to be complete October 2017.

State Route 511

SR 511, just south of US 250, is closed for a culvert replacement. The detour route for northbound motorists is SR 511 to US 42, north on US 42 to US 250 By-Pass, northwest on US 250 By-Pass to SR 511, and reverse for southbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen September 2017.

CRAWFORD COUNTY

State Route 19/State Route 100

SR 19/SR 100, from the Seneca County line to SR 19 and on SR 19 to SR 100, will be reduced to one lane of traffic for a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers as needed. The project is expected to be complete in September 2017.

 State Route 39: Chip Seal Project

SR 39, from Tiro Rd. to the Richland Co. line, will have potential lane closures as needed for a chip seal project. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers as needed. The project is expected to be complete in August 2017.

State Route 39: Resurfacing Project

SR 39, from its intersection with SR 103 to south of Tiro, will be reduced to one lane of traffic for a smooth seal resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers as needed. The project is expected to be complete November 2017.

State Route 96

SR 96, from SR 602 to the Richland County line, will have single lane closures for a chip seal project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers as needed. The project is expected to be complete in October 2017.

State Route 98

SR 98, from US 30 to Dickson Rd., will be reduced to one lane of traffic for a chip seal project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers as needed. The project is expected to be complete October 2017.

State Route 103/State Route 602

SR 103, from SR 4 to the Huron Co. line, and SR 602, just south of New Washington to the SR 103 junction, will be reduced to one lane of traffic for a resurfacing project. There will be no parking in New Washington on SR 103 during the milling and paving operations. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers as needed. The project is expected to be completed October 2017.

State Route 103

SR 103, between Chapel Rd. and Dickson Rd., is closed for a culvert replacement. The detour route for westbound motorists is SR 103 to SR 39, south on SR 39 to SR 98, west on SR 98 to SR 602, north on SR 602 back to SR 103, and reverse for eastbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen September 2017.

State Route 598

SR 598, between SR 39 and the Richland Co. line, will be reduced to one lane of traffic for a smooth seal resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers as needed. The project is expected to be completed November 2017.

RICHLAND COUNTY

US Route 30

US 30, in Mansfield at the I-71 and US 30 interchange, will be reduced to one lane of traffic for maintenance repairs. Night work continues from 7pm-6am on US 30 from SR 309 to Fifth Ave. The project is expected to be complete September 2017.

County Road 48 ***NEW***

CR 48 (Millsboro West Rd.), between Bowers Rd. and Rudy Rd., is closed for a bridge replacement. The detour route for eastbound motorists is CR 48 to SR 314, north on SR 314 to SR 309, east on SR 309 to Lexington Ontario Rd., south on Lexington Ontario Rd. to CR 48, and reverse for westbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen October 2017.

County Road 48 ***NEW***

CR 48 (Millsboro West Rd.), between Horning Rd. and Lohr Rd., will close Monday, August 21 for a bridge replacement. The detour route for eastbound motorists is CR 48 to CR 175 (Horning Rd.), north on CR 175 to SR 309, east on SR 309 to SR 314, south on SR 314 to CR 48, and reverse for westbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen October 2017.

State Route 97

SR 97, at its interchange with Interstate 71, will have two narrowed lanes of traffic in each direction. Crews will begin paving southbound I-71/SR 97 ramps and Alexander Rd. ramp next week; however, all work is weather permitting. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers as needed. Please use caution while navigating through work zones. The project is expected to be complete August 2017.

State Route 96

SR 96, from the City of Shelby to SR 13, will be reduced to one lane of traffic for a chip seal resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers as needed. The project is expected to be completed November 2017.

State Route 546

SR 546, from the Knox County line to the City of Lexington, will have intermittent lane closures as part of a chip and seal resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers as needed. The project is expected to be complete by October 2017.

Evergreen Ave.

Evergreen Ave., just west of its intersection with Laver Rd. and US 30 ramps, is closed for a culvert replacement. The detour route for westbound motorists is Evergreen Ave. to Woodcrest Dr., south on Woodcrest Dr. to SR 430, east on SR 430 to Laver Rd., north on Laver Rd. to Evergreen Ave., and reverse for eastbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen September 2017.
