Earlier this week, Richland Public Health released its 2018-2020 strategic plan.

RPH is currently in its last month of its initial three-year plan, and developed the new plan with the assistance of staff and community partners. A consultant was utilized with the strategic planning process, who conducted surveys, reviewed internal plans and documents, and engaged with collaborative planning sessions with staff.

The 2018-2020 strategic plan defines what RPH will strive to achieve, how goals will be reached, and how it will know goals are realized.  Four strategic priorities have been fixed: innovative infrastructure, optimized performance, effective communication, and strong collaboration; and set goals and objectives for each priority.

RPH believes that all residents of Richland County should have an equal opportunity to be healthy, and should benefit equitably from services and strategic improvements. As such, equity has been established as a cross-cutting strategy for all strategic priorities, and interventions that promote equity will be woven throughout the activities that support strategic goals and objectives.

As always, the mission of RPH is to assess, maintain, and improve the health and safety of the environment and community through quality public health services.

The 2018-2020 strategic plan can be accessed at this location online.
