At 8:26 AM on Thursday, the Mansfield Division of Police responded to 1247 Dillon Rd in reference to a call about a “person possibly in distress” at that location.
Upon Officers’ arrival, they found Denise Reed, a 45 year old white female, inside the residence, deceased. Also located inside the residence was Mrs. Reed’s husband, Michael J. Reed, a 46 year old white male, who was taken into custody in reference to this investigation.
A “Murder” warrant is being prepared and will be served on Mr. Reed. This homicide is believed to be domestic related in nature.
This is an isolated incident and the Major Crimes Unit is not seeking any additional suspects at this time. More information will be released as it becomes available.
