As is natural this time of year, the list of ongoing road projects from the District Three office of the Ohio Department of Transportation is getting shorter as projects conclude. Here is the current list of ongoing work in Richland, Ashland, and Crawford Counties over the next week. All projects below are expected to be completed before the end of this month.
US Route 224
US 224, from SR 511 to the Medina Co. line, will have intermittent single lane closures for a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers.
State Route 98
SR 98 (Plymouth St.), from SR 4 (Sandusky Ave.) to US 30, is closed for sanitary sewer installations and resurfacing work. No truck traffic will be permitted to travel through this area. Only local traffic will be able to access certain portions of SR 98 as the project progresses. The detour route for westbound motorists is SR 98 to US 30, west on US 30 to SR 4, south on SR 4 to SR 98, and reverse for eastbound motorists.
State Route 39
SR 39, from Country Club Dr. to Taylortown Rd., will have single lane closures for a resurfacing project. One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction. Crews are finishing paving, berm, and pavement markings.
I-71, between SR 97 and SR 39 interchanges, will have intermittent single lane closures during the day, and double lane closures at night for a resurfacing project. Crews continue paving, striping, and minor structural work. One lane of traffic will be maintained at all times.
