On Sunday, we posted about a Mansfield man who was killed on Saturday while assisting others along a highway in rural West Virginia. Scott Banks was referred to as a “hero” in coverage by television station WTAP.

Banks’ obituary has now been posted online by Wappner Funeral Directors in Mansfield. It states in part, “Although his family mourns his death, they know Scott was doing exactly what he thought was right.”

A viewing for Banks has been set for this Wednesday, followed by a funeral service on Thursday morning. Details and the full obituary can be accessed here.
