The Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District, which encompasses all or part of 27 Ohio counties, has announced dates for its traditional fireworks displays over area bodies of water. In the greater Mansfield area, that includes both Charles Mill Lake Park and Pleasant Hill Lake Park.

At Pleasant Hill, located near Perrysville, the schedule is as follows:

Friday, May 26th

6-8:00 PM – Naturalist Roving- Naturalist Denise will be traveling through the campground with her box a nature goodies. Watch out for Denise and see and explore what nature.she has brought with her. Playground areas.

Saturday, May 27th

10-11:00 AM – Naturalist Walk- Meet Naturaist Denise for a short walk in the park looking for signs of spring ! Wildflowers,bird nests,etc..Start at Welcome center

11:00 AM – 12:00 noon – Family Crafts – Make your very own patriotic wall hanging, bring the whole family. At welcome center

3-6:00 PM – FREE Kayaking/Canoeing – We supply all the equipment and safety talk, you provide the paddle power. Meet by the beach parking lot, look for sign. Under 18 must have adult sign waiver.

7-10:00 PM – Beats at the Beach- Local musical artists perform live at the public beach stage. Come and vote and support your favorite artist. Scheduled to perform 7:00 PM- Wyatt Boggs (Jazz), 8:00PM- Hailey Davis (Country/Rock) and 9:00 PM- Chase Beaire (Indie Folk)

Friday, May 26

7-8:00 PM – Decoration Pick-up – Grab a bag of decorations for your bike or scooter at Messerly recreation Center, decorate your bike or scooter, then bring it back to Safety Day on Saturday

7-7:30 PM – Kidz Bingo – Meet at the Messerly Recreation Center outside shelter for game night fun

7:30-8:00 PM – Adult Bingo – Picnic Night Prizes – Messerly Recreation Center –Enter your name in the drawing for a surprise box

9-10:00 PM – Kidz Flashlight Activity – Bring your flashlight and meet Miss Maddie at Messerly Recreation Center for nighttime fun

Saturday, May 27

9:00 AM-12:00 noon – Decoration Pick-up – Grab a bag of decorations for your bike or scooter at Messerly recreation Center, decorate your bike or scooter, then bring it back to Safety Day on Saturday

9-10:00 AM – Coffee and Sweets – donation – children must be with parents – Messerly Recreation Center – Donation

10:00 AM-12:00 noon – Nature Wild– Crafts, games, and nature exploration with Miss Maddie! Meet at the Messerly Recreation Center

12:00 noon-1:00 PM – Adult Craft time – Red, white, and blue canvas button art at the Messerly Recreation Center

2-3:00 PM – Kidz Craft Time – Eagle Point Shelter

5-8:00 PM – Beach Blast – Visit the beach area for concession food, games, and inflatables before the fireworks

7-9:45PM – LIVE Music: Redneck Romeos – Enjoy covers of your favorite country bands at the beach! Bring your own chair or blanket.

Dusk – FIREWORKS – Watch the spectacular fireworks display over the lake. Sponsored by Donaldson Law Offices

Sunday, May 28

10:15-11:00 AM – Church Service Messerly Recreation Center with donuts and coffee to follow

12:00 noon-1:00 PM – Family Scavenger Hunt – Meet at Eagle Point Shelter Area

2-3:00 PM – Bike Rodeo for Kidz – for ages 2-14 at Eagle Point Shelter. Learn the importance of bike safety, go through a bike safety course, and take part in a bike parade. Bring your decorated bikes, scooters, or wagons to Eagle Point Shelter.

3-5:00 PM – Adult Cornhole Tournament – for ages 15+ at the Eagle Point Shelter. Registration forms available at Main Camp and Eagle Point gates.

5pm-midnight – Catfish Tournament – Pickup registration form and rules from Main office or Eagle Point office.  $15 per team.  Prizes for the total weight of three fish, and biggest fish contest. On-site registration and weigh-in at SR 430 boat ramp.

7-9:30 PM – Karaoke with D. J. Barker at Eagle Point Shelter. For all ages!
