One might think that the first week of October is too early to be discussing things Halloween-related, but as schedules for busy families tend to become full this time of year, we thought we’d take the opportunity to share a few dates and times for spooky festivities in north central Ohio.

In Mansfield, the City has announced that Trick or Treat Night will take place on Thursday, October 25 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. It is suggested that participating children be no older than 12.

Residents wishing to participate in Trick or Treat Night are asked to turn on their porch light between the hours of 5:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Monsterfield Masquerade in downtown Mansfield will be happening on Saturday, October 28. A downtown trick-or-treat with the participation of some 60 center city merchants will take place from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, and then the annual Halloween Parade steps off right at Noon (parade lineup begins at 11:00 AM). The route will start at North Main and Fifth Street, move south on North Main, turn west on Park Avenue West, and then head north on North Walnut. Parade entries are reviewed and judged.

In both Shelby and Lexington, residents will enjoy city-wide trick or treating on the same date and during the same times as their Mansfield counterparts. The Lexington Halloween Parade will be held on Sunday, October 28 between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM.

This list of Halloween activities in Richland County will be amended and re-posted as new information becomes available
