Mansfield City Council meets this Tuesday to consider various pieces of legislation, three of which involve authorization for sale of property for economic development projects.

Among the ordinances to be considered on reading or in caucus:

  • Changing conditional zoning requirements to match recent revisions to the Ohio Revised Code
  • Authorizing acceptance of a $66,905 grant from the Ohio Development Services Agency for an equipment purchase for the Fire Department
  • Authorizing purchase of electricity for use at city facilities
  • Authorizing the Richland County Growth Corporation to sell two acres on the City’s behalf at Reid Industrial Park to MightyFruit Trucking, which intends to develop the property for a business engaged in trucking
  • Authorizing the Richland County Growth Corporation to sell seven acres on the City’s behalf in the vicinity of Piper Road to Rama Tika Retails LLC, which intends to develop the property for a business engaged in trucking
  • Authorizing the Richland County Growth Corporation to sell land and a building at 17 Willis Avenue on the City’s behalf to ARSA LLC., which intends to develop the property for future expansion of E.S. Beveridge Associates Inc.
  • Authorizing creation and implementation of the City of Mansfield Job Creation Tax Credit program
