Here’s a question for you. What would be on a bird’s Christmas shopping list?

Try suet, paper towels, Clorox wipes, pellets, meal works, bird seed, and black sunflower seeds. Or, better yet, a donation to cover the cost of any of those.

Bring a gift for the birds or their habitat to “Christmas for the Birds” on Saturday, December 17, and you’ll get a gift in return – free admission to the Ohio Bird Sanctuary for their annual holiday event.

Christmas for the Birds will offer a great deal to see and do – animal encounters, fireside stories with Santa, making bird-edible ornaments and crafts, refreshments, and unique photo opportunities. The event takes place between 12 noon and 2:00 PM. You should note that the Sanctuary can close during regularly open hours if severe weather strikes. Information on whether the facility is open or closed can be obtained at 419.884-4295.

The Ohio Bird Sanctuary is located at 3774 Orweiler Road, near Clear Fork Reservoir.
