Senior Quarterback Signs To Play At Otterbein

This past week, Mansfield Senior High’s Sid Caudill signed a letter of intent to play football at Otterbein College in Westerville.

Caudill, 6’3” 205, was quarterback on the Tygers’ 2017 team that finished with an 8-3 record. He was named to the All-Ohio Cardinal Conference Second Team. More…

Tygers Receive Post Season Honors

Tyger football standout Jornell Manns, the Ohio Cardinal Conference Offensive Player of the Year, leads a number of Mansfield Senior High fall sports athletes who have earned OCC and district post-season honors.

Manns led the Tygers to an 8-3 record and a share of the conference title, scoring 37 touchdowns while accumulating nearly 2,000 yards of total offense. He has committed to the University of Minnesota. More…

2018 Mid-Ohio Race Schedule Announced

The racing season at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course will begin more than a month earlier in 2018 with the addition of a new professional sports car event, May 4-6.

The new race weekend will be headlined by the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, and four of the traditional dates return to the weekend schedule for the 57th season of racing at the legendary road course.  In conjunction with this announcement, Mid-Ohio Season Race Passes are on sale now.  More…

The Mansfield Senior High Tygers will travel to Bay Village Friday to meet the Rockets in the opening round of Div. III football playoffs. Game time is 7:30 PM at 29230 Wolf Road in Bay Village.

Mansfielder Is National Champion in SCCA Runoffs

Max Gee, of Mansfield, an instructor at the Mid-Ohio School at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, recently won the SCCA Runoffs® driving the No. 22 Gee Motorsports/Hoosier Honda Prelude and was crowned National Champion at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the Super Touring® Under class (STU).

To win, Gee had to keep ahead of a charging Ray Huffmaster, of Clarkston, Michigan, in the No. 36 BlueForceStaffing.com/Hoosier Pontiac Solstice in the final laps. Mark Liller, of Aldie, Virginia, finished third in the No. 79 Angry Sheep Motorsport/Hoosier/Carbotech Dodge Neon SRT-4. More…
