Two musical offerings close out September at the Renaissance Theatre, one capturing the sounds of Broadway, and the other, well, providing a bit of a spooky experience.
Saturday, September 17 at 8:00 pm – “Oh, What a Night!,” part of the OhioHealth Symphony Series
Under the baton of Interim Pops Director, Maestro Carl Topilow, this dynamic program of some of Broadway’s biggest numbers will feature Connor O’Brien, a dynamic young Broadway vocalist who has sung on many occasions with the Cleveland Pops. He has also appeared with the Akron Symphony, the Firelands Symphony the National Repertory Orchestra, and the Rochester Philharmonic. More…

The Women’s Fund of the Richland County Foundation celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. Since its inception, the Women’s Fund has awarded 137 grants to local nonprofit organizations that support women and girls and 29 scholarships to women who are non-traditional students attending local colleges totaling over $285,000. The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced the following construction projects taking place in Richland County over the next several days:
State Route 13
SR 13, from Orchard Park to Hanley Rd., is reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction as part of a resurfacing project. One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction with flaggers. The project is expected to be complete in September 2016.
State Routes 39, 61 & 96
Within the City of Shelby, State Route 39, State Route 61 and State Route 96 may be reduced to one lane of traffic for project finalization work. One lane of two-way traffic will be maintained at all times with flaggers. Weather permitting, the work is expected to be complete in September 2016. More…
